It’s a huge week for us at Scout. Why? We’re absolutely overjoyed to announce SPARK’s return in 2020: SPARK Your Sourcing Journey. February 24th – 25th in San Francisco, over 800 sourcing and procurement leaders will gather at the iconic Pier 27 for 2 full days of inspiration, education, and collaboration.
SPARK, Scout’s annual user conference and celebration event, is an opportunity to break out of your daily routine and find your place among the Scout community. It’s a chance to ignite your imagination and think about how to meaningfully improve and expand the impact your organization is making.
SPARK is organized to help advance both individuals as well as organizations in procurement excellence. It’s a curated, collaborative forum for learning, sharing ideas and having important discussions with other professionals. “I really appreciate SPARK. It’s not one long infomercial for Scout. It’s about their customers driving change and improvement in their businesses,” said Robert Kugel, Senior VP and Research Director at Ventana Research.
At SPARK 2020: SPARK Your Sourcing Journey, you’ll discover new approaches to make global commerce faster, more effective, less risky and more transparent and collaborative. Hear from experts and sourcing superstars who have already made critical improvements as well as peers who are in the midst of change.
“SPARK is the first time that we’ve been able to create a tremendous community for procurement and sourcing professionals from all around the world,” noted John Bruno, Vice President of Global Real Estate, the Workplace and Procurement for Workday. Last year drew over 400 professional attendees from over 200 companies, and this year, we’re hosting more than 800 sourcing leaders.
SPARK is for anyone who is passionate about sourcing, finance, and procurement, with typically heavy attendance from CPOs, VPs of Procurement and Sourcing Managers. Organizations of all types are represented. Last year, attendees from Salesforce, Workday, McKinsey, and Zendesk shared with us that SPARK is an event not to miss.
Knowledge and insight abound during SPARK in breakout sessions and roundtables as well as informal conversations around ideas, concerns, and best practices with peers and leaders. “The highlight of SPARK is reconnecting with my peers, former colleagues, and managers and sharing those moments with my current team,” remarked Natasha Gurevich, Vice President of Global Procurement at Salesforce.
“We invest heavily and even obsess over SPARK to ensure that it is an extremely valuable event for those who want to advance their own profession as well as their organization’s practices and accomplishments,” said Stan Garber, President of Scout. “We are so excited for SPARK 2020, and we know that it will turn out to be our most impactful conference yet.”
