Scout’s Year in Review 2019: A Letter From our Founders

Hi there!

The beginning of the New Year is a unique time for all of us to reflect, refocus, and refresh our goals with renewed energy. This rings especially true for Scout in 2020. It’s hard to believe that just one year has passed since Scout announced our Series C funding last January. Flash forward and here we are – now officially a Workday company with a sourcing-first future in front of us.

But before we race off into 2020, I’d like to pause and look back on the major moments of 2019 that propelled us to where we are today.

Breaking Records in 2019

For starters, we achieved some pretty amazing milestones in the last year.  Scout RFP, a Workday company, reached over $38.5 billion in managed spend and $4.1 billion in projected savings across more than 300,000 users in over 155 countries. Our customer base grew to 250 companies (and counting!) and the Scout Village increased by a whopping 60%. (And if you’re interested in joining our growing team, check out our careers page to learn more – we are always looking for new Scouts!)

In 2019, we were honored when customers Unitywater of Queensland, Australia and Palo Alto Networks awarded us the 2019 Supply Chain Operations Award and the Supplier Appreciation Business Productivity Tool Award respectively. We were beyond thrilled when CIO Applications recognized us as a 2019 Top Reverse Auctions Technology Provider

SPARKing Sourcing Revolutions, One Event at a Time

2019 was an epic year for our second annual customer conference, SPARK. With 400 attendees and more than 24 learning sessions, SPARK 2019 was a record-breaking sourcing celebration.

We also hit the road last year and met up with Sourcing Leaders across the country. In 2019, we met influential procurement leaders from all over the U.S., hosting several Sourcing Leaders events in San Francisco, Chicago, and New York City

What’s Next for Scout RFP, a Workday Company?

We want to do even more for our customers this year, which is why SPARK 2020 will be our biggest event yet! This February, join hundreds of procurement professionals for over 40 hours of inspiration, networking, and of course, fun (bubbly brunch, anyone?).

If that weren’t enough, top notch keynote speakers including Workday CEO Aneel Bhusri, Warriors GM Bob Myers, A.T. Kearney’s Dr. Elouise Epstein, and Bill Gates’ top business author, Safi Bahcall will take the SPARK stage. We can’t wait for them to share their expert insights on topics like leadership, team building, and transformation. Spaces are filling up fast, so make sure to register now!

Thank You!

On behalf of all the founders, I’d like to say thank you. We are humbled by the knowledge and passion our customers bring to the table every day, and our accomplishments this past year are direct results of your continued support.

With Workday behind us, we are more excited than ever to provide you with a revolutionized source-to-pay process and empower you to do even more for your business.

Happy 2020, everyone – let’s get to work!
